    Sac Snows Part 2....weird

SluicieCoot, The Sac birds IMHO are becoming small spread shy, there are some guys trying to hunt snows over 20 doz sillosocks and the snows don't even blink at them, we hunt over a 100 doz FBs and are ordering another 50, it's becoming a big spread deal up there, Kenny may have shared some of...

    Sac Snows Part 2....weird

Nice pics and hunt. I'm not buying into that all the birds are heading north, the delta and grasslands are loaded with snows right now and Tule/LK are frozen solid. I believe the geese moved south as they are starving in the Sac/Delevan area, there is no rice left

    Pond is frozen, need advice

The reason you want to slide big chunks away is that if you leave small chunks in the opening it will like freeze back over faster You can probably get buy with 9 to 12 decoys

    Pond is frozen, need advice

Do not put salt in the water, you will hurt or kill the food in the pond. If the pond is shallow where you can walk and the ice is not that thick, break it in big chunks' slide the chunks under the ice until you have a 30-50 ft opening. Put a few floaters in the water and stand up some FBs on...

    This NOT a goose!

Shooting an extra hen pintail confusing it with lets say a hen mallard or gadwall I can understand as a mistake. Shooting a swan thinking it was a snow goose is like shooting an elk and confusing it with a black tail deer, come on man

    This NOT a goose!

What's brutal is having shooters ruining the reputation of ethical hunters, the sport does not need hunters like this period. The circus mentality of killing first and identifying later is getting a little old. I have never shot a bird not knowing what it was, I have however let legal birds go...

    Geese

We had some excellent days in the blind! Really works out when we can get most of us in the blind and the calling comes together. Locals are now parking near by and drinking coffee and watching us

    This NOT a goose!

Sorry guys but there is no excuse for this! There is no confusing a 5 lb snow goose with a 15lb plus juvie swan. They should make an example of this guy and stick it to him BIG time. It's crap like this the antis could use against us, do we really need hunters like this in our group?
