.223 experience has been all . monos even outside CA and it’s been plenty effective. It’s small, but the accuracy and ease of shooting is hard to beat. This WY whitetail went about 5 yards after a 62gr Barnes
Wouldn’t take a broadside neck shot with a bow but frontal/hard quarter to all day long, that said I have nowhere near the experience hatch has, personal or professional.
I have a .223 axis with 5 deer and 3 antelope to its credit shooting tsx’s out to 310yards. Extremely easy to shoot well and spot impacts compared to larger calibers. Plus substantially cheaper to feed.
As far as I know the FS considers all ebikes motorized vehicles, they don’t really enforce it in most districts, but i feel better about pedaling anyways
