Those rock dove are tough suckers and high fliers. I went to full choke and high base sixes to knock em down. Double the meat of mournings. And they’re corn-fed, not the ones eating French fries and cigarette butts on the pier.
Tried it a few times and never did well either. Nice effort and thanks for the report. Seems to be a slow dove year overall. We saw very few in the IV this opener. Usually it’s limits by 9:00 am for everyone.
