I would get the 10x50's over the 10x42's because they will provided a better picture in low light conditions. later add some 15x56's with a tripod to the arsenal. The 15's are a game changer, especially out in our area.

If you want to save some money on the tripod, I recommend "Rangers 57” Ultra Compact and Lightweight Aluminum Tripod with 360° Panorama Ball head". I bought it off amazon and it is very sturdy and works great with the Vultures. It is also very compact. Link is bellow.
In my experience the spotting scope and the 15’s serve a Different purpose. I have glassed using the grid method with my 10 x 42‘s and my 15 x 56’s. I turn up a lot more deer with my 15’s at greater distances obviously. If I want to get a real close look at that animal then I would pull out the...
I have the same set up Vortex 10x42 dmb. I just picked up the Vortex 15x56 Vulture HD and I could not be happier. I bought them off Amazon and paid $506 shipped. For the money I am very satisfied with the 15x56's. I purchased a $64 tripod of Amazon as well and It works great.
