I started with a Winchester 120 Ranger 12 ga and then bought a Mossy 835 for my waterfowling. Still have those old girls but I just got a Retay Masai Mara last year and I absolutely love it.

Day two has been pretty darn good so far considering. Humid as all get out!! Going to take the afternoon break and try to cool off in the shade. Desert camping at its finest. Going to shoot the evening and tomorrow morning before heading home. The Retay is performing flawlessly.

Beautiful morning this morning. Nice and humid in the I.V. the past few days ugh! Lots of white wing this year. First shot with the new Retay was fruitful and I love this gun!! Done by 0900 with 11 mourning, 4 ww, and 1 Eurasian. What a great morning. Back at it again tomorrow morning.

Yes, they’re steel. I hadn’t seen 7 1/2 before either. I think they should be plenty adequate for openers with a IC choke.

I got a bunch of the 1 1/8 #7 1/2 1400fps in Kearny Mesa at SoCal Gun. The rest I got at Turner’s. That’s a bit of a drive but SoCal had stacks of ammo.

I stocked up on both of these. Will be shooting my new gun for the first time on openers. I'm a bit excited. I haven't bought a new gun in over 30 years. I figured it was time. .

I’m upping my game this year to 1375 and 1400 1 1/8

I've had rather good results with steel. I usually shoot 1oz #7 modified choke and pepper them pretty well.
