17th Annual SCH New Mexico Elk Hunt has begun

Amazing trip with so many hunt setups. The hunt overall was hard with 3 out of the 5 tags filled (one on the last day). Like @Lungpopper said, everyone had some sort of opportunity. Because it was so difficult, we all learned alot and created some new hunt setups in areas we hadn't been. Our lack of posting was due to being in the field all day - tired, cold and hungry in the evening. We had temps down to 11° and much colder and more damp than years past. Our streak of elk killing came to an end this year. We were 112 elk for 112 tags. Our total now is 115 elk for 117 tags. All good things come to an end. But now the monkey is off the back. Looking forward to next year!

Pics are of the sunset on the last evening and the bunkhouse as we depart this morning
