This is in the works for this year fellas... thoughts? Yes ..No.. Maybe... Kinda ..Sorta? I,ll start.
.We shoot alot of bears...but never had the desire to shoot more than one per season...that being said ..I can't see the revenue for CA if they do offer a second tag.
.the Hmong maybe..them dudes kill the shit outta them bears.... thoughts?

I’d have rather seen a spring season opened up.

A second tag I’m sure will help the harvest quota, but I doubt as much a spring season would along with opening up more opportunity.

I like the theme of more seasons, not so much more tags. Pre rut deer seasons in AZ have become an absolute zoo with additional tags. I don’t understand desire to kill 2 bears either, hot market for gall bladder viagra I guess

The question that should be asked, is, from a management perspective, has eliminating hunting bears with dogs been effective. We here know the obvious answer.

I seriously doubt they will be selling many second tags for bears. Most people don't actually target bears, the vast majority of bear tag holders, don't fill the tag. And success on a large bear a few miles in, is more work than most are ready for, and greasy as he'll. Those that have filled a tag a few miles in, typically don't pull the trigger on a large bear again, unless they have pack animals, or help.

I see plenty of bears, a few miles from the road. But I simply prefer to get away from the crowds, when hunting. I've filled several bear tags in the past, and I just simply stopped buying bear tags, a few years ago. They are just way to much for this aging old man, and I'd rather hunt pigs than search for bears close to roads. Besides, pug consistently tastes way better than bear.

The black bear population will continue to be high until they release Grizzlies and they populate. Then we will see a decline in both the black bear population ans granola munchers.
