300 wm recipe

novice reloader here. Does anyone have a recipe for a 300 win mag they would recommend. I have a tikka that shoots factory barnes vortex ttsx 180s well at 100, though I am not happy with SD and ES

Thinking 180ish gr hammers
h1000
lapua brass

Your SD's and ES will not necessarily be fixed by changing projectiles. H1000 is a great powder choice. Consistent neck tension and powder charges will shrink that number.

It will for sure but what SD and SS are you looking g to get. If your not going to get into bushing dies get cheaper brass I have found recently that some of the cheaper brass Winchester and Starline can be thinner. This will help you out with lessening neck tension if you’re not using bushings. You will definitely get better results when the powder charges are equal. Lots of recipes out there on the internet.
