308 Norma Mag....Buellar?

Any thoughts on this cartidge? I hate shooting and try to stay away from the range as much as possible..Ammo is a bitch for it..but none the less..its in my arsenal...thinking about putting some decent glass on it and letting a boy rape Ca with it this coming season..any gun geeks have any personal intel with this Caliber?

Essentially it is a 30-338. Based on the 338 Win Mag case. It is an amazing cartridge that has equivalent ballistics to a 300 Win Mag but more efficient on powder. I shot one for years. There is load data for it in the Sierra manual. Get after it!

Thanks buddy..i really dont know alice dick about it..
Pops gave it to me years ago..he had it custom built while we lived in Alaska in the 60-s..that thing did some damage from bear..to moose..to deer...gonna pull the old weaver k4 off of it and get her dialed in with something stronger...love the k4 though

The very thought of this makes me nauseous...im appalled ..cant every one just leave the mountain lions alone? They were here first and are just doing what they need to do to survive...uggh. .Ca has a law to protect them forever.

The 174g hammer hunter would be a good bullet choice for CA. I don’t imagine it has a ton of Mag space being an older rifle these should fit. I wouldn’t want to be shot with this combo.

What cartridge did you use for the headshot on that pig?

The one and only for me....257wbymag...and what ever was rollin around on the floor board at the time..LOL! Prolly 115 Barnes or some crap. When out of Jackastan i prefer the 120 grain nosler pt,s....menacing round for sure.

see if you can figure out what twist it is. That will determine what dumb calif bullet you have to use. might be a slow twister so no big calif copper bullets
