Heading out to the range Monday morning to test different seating depth of both bullets.

Hornady 143 grain ELD-X

60.3 Grains H1000

Bullets measured from the ogive:

3 x 2.252"
3 x 2.247"
3 x 2.242"
3 x 2.237"
3 x 2.232"
3 x 2.227"

Berger 140 grain VLD Hunting

60.2 grains H1000

Bullets measured from the ogive:

3 x 2.220"
3 x 2.215"
3 x 2.210"
3 x 2.195"

So far the new 6.5 RSAUM rifle has 60 rounds through it. Hopefully we will find a sweet spot. Will report results.

Just got back from the range. Wasn't my best shooting display but I did gather some good info.

The Hornady ELD-X likes being snuggled up with the lands. Below is the result:

Hornady ELD-X 143 grain bullets (hunting bullet)
Nosler Case trimmed to 2.020"
Federal 215M Match primers
60.3 grains H1000 powder
Ogive OAL of 2.252"

.348" 3 shot group
