So I see that hornady has a 147g ELDM with a G1 of 697! Crap, anyone try any of these yet? I also heard they are the same length as the 143g ELDX. I am Assuming they will stabilize in a 1-8?

At least not what I can see. If they are the same length as the ELDX they will stabilize in a 1-8.5 and below.

I deducted 50 FPS for the 147gr. Only an 8 yard advantage at 1,000 over the 143gr ELD X.

Assuming the 50fps slower it will shoot 5" inside with a 10mph cross at 1k yards Could be a interesting f class bullet. Have yet to see any mention of it on A.S.

The Kool aid is being consumed in mass quantities on this thread. I'm a believer in the 6.5 but my 7 mag has never served me wrong. Maybe I need therapy....

Hard to beat a 7 Rem Mag. It is a factory round that performs. The 6.5 is just more efficient by weight.
