GD...id pay money to have Larry as my wingman this season...Larry where are you?

Those ducks have no idea what's coming for them.

hoping so also...gotta have a good looking truck to be a successful buck hunter..intel has it they just paved a new section of road where I'm heading....a little apprehensive about driving on it as there is a strong chance of tar kicking up and sticking to my wheel wells and undercarriage...wish me luck...im gonna need it.

Or, another way to say that is, work smarter not harder.
This is very true...that truck has room for days in the bed..some of the cut and stuff elk runs have been epic...kinda stuff youd get pulled over for and cuffed and stuffed for driving down the road in jackafornia for ....she,ll be 15 this year...shez my special girl.

Exactly..buy a truck with a bigger bed. I passed on the F150 and the Silverado 1,500 because their crew cab setups take away from the bed and I did not want a longer Truck. I really wanted a nice size cab and abed I can sleep on if I have to, so I went for the Dodge Ram..it has a 6.4 bed but is more like 6'. I am not a Truck guy at all and I had no preference on the manufacturer. If it had the basic features and fits the bill I buy.
Anyway sorry to derail the posting.
Excited for you...god luck!

Im gonna need all the luck i can...still figuring out this deer thing...good news is im gonna be there most of the 30 day season...at which point quail and DUCKS open!! Bringing the 870 to keep me sane while getting beat up both mentally and physically while hunting buck deer.

I have a Yukon XL. Most trips it is more than enough but, when we go for elk, three of us, it takes a lot of careful packing. The trip over is no problem because we use the 5 or 6 large ice chest for storage but, on the trip home when we get two or three cow elk, that storage space is no longer available so, we have to be creative in our packing. but, we always manage. I have, on occasion used my hitch rack which makes it a little better.

Yup GD..Note the tailgate rack...all you need with a 6ft bed...been running one for decades...getting creative is a good thing to have to do at the end of a large mammal hunt...success is the end goal. On another note...the Hy20200609_183034.jpgatt regency really out did themselves for my month long stay with them!! It pays to be a Titanium member for sure!! The little quail in the background added something special for me...If ever you all need a great place to stay while out on a really tuff hunt...id suggest the Hyatt...turn down service and fully stocked mini bar daily!!

Shit..they even put the little mint on the pillow before bed time! Felt like I was in Tanzania again!!
