Anti-hunting nuts attack father for bringing his daughter on a dove hunt

Has this been discussed?
I loved this article and was so happy to see someone taking their daughter out for a hunt and showing her where their meat comes from. But the RESPONSES in the comments section left me steaming! How crazy/hypocritical/horrible are these anti-hunting nuts???

Cool article. I love seeing the sport passed on to the next generation. The ignorant comments are just that.

People are born wanting to hunt, Its part of our DNA. You have to be brainwashed into thinking hunting is bad.
It takes zero effort to get someone young into hunting. They take to it like a lab to water its just the way we are wired.

Hey suburban i think our girls should have a play date soon :)

Aeon - How old is your daughter? My girls would love her! She is adorable and yes, they do take to hunting naturally.

My son is 6 and my daughters are 8 and 10 and they are so eager to be involved... agree with SDBirds that I could've started them sooner. What is NOT normal is how I grew up: not really putting together that what I was eating was once an animal! Glad to give my kids a more accurate view of their world.

Hahaha yep! And I dragged that buck a whole mile by myself!
But on a more serious note, I'm super thankful my dad got me out hunting early, watching my dad, cousins and uncles killing bucks every year at a young age was awesome. I couldn't even sleep before opening day.

Progress. I have one with him and my neice that I can't find. Two 3year olds equals chaos duckhunting solo lol

There is nothing more rewarding than having your kids in the field. My son started at the age of 5 and started shooting game at the age of 7.

Like Aeon said - "It takes zero effort to get someone young into hunting" They love it!

Good times!

I'm hoping I can learn enough and stay with this long enough to see that my son goes out hunting.

Those anti hunter people are just ignorant. Even before I had the urge to hunt I never found it wrong or disgusting.

Great seeing kids in the field, 2 of my grandsons 12 and 8 got their hunting licenses this year and its all they talk about, start em young

I do what I do because I am hungry.

I do not kill for sport. I do not abuse for entertainment. I do not mistreat animals. But I eat them.

This is because I am human, and they are not. I am most certainly better than them. Be it by grace of God or by the race famously illustrated by Charles Darwin, we won. They lost.

Life's rough, buy a helmet. "
