couple of Wister questions:

1. I know blinds were made with arrow weed in the past, Is that still the case, and without Sportsman catering , where does one find it? I assume at the end of the season, the arrow weed 'forts' are all probably in place by now. Best to bring your own 'fort"?

2. Is the rule still 100 YARDS from a blind stake on the dike?

curious how things may have changed. thanks

I would just bring some garden shears and go foraging at your blind sight for blind material. When I asked a while back about the distance you can hunt from the stake it ruffled some feathers, hopefully it doesn’t happen again on this thread!

On the back of the current map it tells you maximum distance from blind post. The majority are 100 yards and some are 50 yards. The T's and I believe the U's are 50. Hazard may require you to hunt from the blind or maybe 100 feet....IDK, but like I said, it's all spelled out in the rules on the back of the current map. Like others said, people bring shears and gather their own arrow weed. There is no shortage of it.

Most of the Blinds permit a 50 yards distance from the stake. There are some that permit a 100 yards. Grab the white map and it should be written on the back the maximum distances allowed from the stakes at various locations. Most areas you can forage stuff to brush up the blind. There is arrow weed everywhere. Bring shears and gloves.

Thanks everyone

A friend is going down there - his first time.

Just wanted to share with him a few things. I just wasn’t sure where the blind details were. Now I know it’s on the map he’ll get there.

As far as arrow weed. I think he’ll have some cover with him. Wasn’t sure if someone was maybe selling it - just to make a few bucks.

Matt, I do need to call you… but more just to catch up and say hello. I’ll do that.

Again, thanks

Hey Rick,. I'm not sure if this map and rules are for the current year but I believe they are. Your friend can print out and take with him Incase the check station runs out....
