Had a great weekend chasing quail in Arizona for the opener. The area we were in stayed around 85 degrees during mid-day making it bearable. Hunted from sunrise to sunset. Saw about 18-20 coveys, and over 300 gambels for the day. Ended up with 11 in the bag for me, and 39 total with a group of four guys. Didn't use the dogs much as it was still a bit hot and we were in rattlesnake territory. Overall great weekend, and healthy quail populations in az!
