Just read a post on Facebook about a poacher in Washington getting 5 years and a $24K fine for dear poaching. This was posted by Griffin's Guide and the title is "Washington Poacher Who Beheaded Trophy Bucks Gets 5 Years, $24K Fine"

While I think its great that they caught this Alpha Hotel and I hope he serves the max time and is fined the max amount and looses any legitimate hunting rights I have a problem with this article, and others I have seen lately.
What's with this "beheading" that's cropping up in not only this, but sometime in comments (usually by antis) in legitimate hunting photo posts lately? In this case its right in the title so you wouldn't even have to read the article to get the "beheading" message. I can understand in showing up in some anti hunter rant or something along those lines but Griffin's Guide is supposed to be a well know outdoors publication. Isn't it kind of standard with a trophy that is on the way to the taxidermist to cape it and send the head and cape to the taxidermist? Its like since ISIS is beheading people we'll say that this is a "beheading" so that the poacher (in this case), or a legitimate hunter in cases of legal kills, is on a par with ISIS terrorists. I'm not liking where this is going as it may push the ones I call the "fence sitters" (those that don't hunt but think that hunting is okay) over to the side of the antis. We, the hunting community, should be careful using this term, even in reference to poachers, as it could come back to bite us.
If I'm not mistaken this is a new thing as I sure don't remember seeing it in the past.
Opinions?
