Has anyone else used the bass pro redhead wool socks? Holy cow these things are the best, most comfortable socks I have ever owned.
I bought 8 pairs of them 3 years ago and they have lasted me 2 fire seasons, a fire academy, and a whole lot of hiking and hunting. A few of them are just now getting holes, but they are still in pretty good shape. The best thing is that I can just take them back to bass pro and get 8 brand new pairs for free.
I have bought other socks like smart wool and others before these and they only lasted a half of a fire season before I had to toss them, some only lasted one or two fires.
Anyways here's the link, if anyone needs new socks these are worth their weight in gold.

I got a few pairs of carhart work socks for free a month or two ago. They changed my life lol seriously the best things ever

Good info, I'll have to check those out next time at BPS. I've been wearing the Under Armor socks and they've been ok so far but I'd be willing to give those a try.

I love my REI socks, but when they wear out I'm going to take a look at these. 4.8/5 is a pretty awesome product rating, and I like that they are available in a variety of weights.

I have used the BPS lifetime warranty socks for years......Great socks......And if they get a hole?......No questions asked and get a new pair (I wear holes on my left foot)...... :-[).

ps......Really really like CWA's Merino wool socks as well...... 8)

I have tried many socks over the years and go by basic criteria. Comfort and blister resistance is my top priority! Many folks think it is the shoe or boot that causes blisters but 8 out of 10 times it is the sock. Durability is important and a sock should last a season or two but beyond that I don't care.

I have found that the Smartwool PHD Outdoor medium crew is the best I have worn to date.

Thurlo makes a great synthetic sock (REI has them) I use them exclusively and have found them to keep blisters at bay while being very durable. I have many pairs and have found them to last several years.

The Thorlo Unisex Wool/Thorlon hiking sock is supposed to be a good sock
