Hey I Moved to so cal a year and ahalf ago from Hawaii. I am a bowhunter and really want/need to hunt sometime soon. im in south oc but will drive to hunt any info would be great thank you
Welcome to SCH. Have you done the hunter safety course? Deer tags are gone your best bet would be chasing pigs, small game or coyotes.

Welcome. I'm a newcomer myself. Just started bow hunting this fall and hope to be chasing pigs soon.
Aside from having your license and tag for what you are after it
There are a few ranches that are a short drive for you if you want to pay someone a few hundred bucks to hunt their land. Or you can just go to the National Forest service and grab a map of your local area and check to see if they have some handouts on what you want to hunt. I know the office near me had handouts for deer/turkey and pigs. Also you can check with the ranger station in the area and see if they have any suggestions on where things have been seen "this week".

There are no deer around OC........
If you are in south OC you have the Nation Forest right at your door step. Get a map from the forest service and use the google earth overlays and get out and look!!!! Tree stands rule out here for bow hunters.
