Broadheads?

My old partner gave me a TIp on these cyclone broadheads. has anybody tried these yet?
looks wicked hahaha. I may try these, the Rage Hypodermic look impressive too. apparently the old rage style mechanical had a flaw. the ferl would distort. probably why it failed or did not deploy properly . this is interesting, & to make sure that mechanical broadhead deploys properly after being shot.
anything mechanical can fail if the components get damaged or distorted. yet after doing research with fixed broadheads. it tends to wonder, due to wind, air resistance & due to the configuration of the broadhead it self.
I suspect that there was issues last year with hunters using mechanical broadheads that were damaged. just keep this in mind.
make sure that once you deploy that mechanical that it is in good working order & not damaged. good luck. and may the force be with us.

If you're new to archery and going to coyotes and deer start with mechanicals. There are many decent options out there as listed above. I like the rage 2 blade (NOT THE OLD 3, this did have problems with deployment on quartering shots with out solid flat surface contact). No matter what mechanical you use, you will lose some energy to deploy the blades, the Rage is pretty efficient that's whey I like it. However, if you are shooting light poundage or are going after larger game (Elk, etc...) use a cut-on-contact fixed blade. I like the Montec from G-5, they sharpen easy and spin very well. With a little tuning they will fly the same as field points out to 80yds and beyond.

#1 thing is to make sure they are sharp enough. If they dont instantly cut a streached rubber band they arent sharp enough.
