Hey everyone, I'm a researcher doing a study about hunter preferences for habitat quality and site access.
If you were out at Grizzly Island, Upper Butte, Yolo Bypass, Grey Lodge, or the Bay Area WRs in 2019-20, you might have been interviewed about your day's hunt by our survey team. (We were the brainiacs in blaze orange vests scaring all the ducks away at Eden Landing. Yeah, sorry about that. It was a permit requirement.)
Anyway, we are now following up that study with a separate one. This one is online and takes about 15 minutes to do. There's $20 in it for you if you want to give us your name and mailing address for the payment. Or, you can skip the $20 and keep your info private. Either way, all data is kept confidential and we don't use it for any other purpose.
Our research is aimed at understanding the needs of hunters, as stakeholders in habitat restoration in the Bay-Delta. We will be feeding these results back to CDFW and USFWS to help inform management of the sites and decision-making about hunter access.
If you'd like to help us out and have your views represented in the study, here are the links:

Thanks a million! I'm happy to answer questions about the research on this thread if you want to ask any.
