Just a new mule deer hunter here and not new to hunting but new to the spot and stalk! I had a fork buck come in on me while I was using a rabbit in distress call before rilfe season. He was only 50 yds away and it seemed that we had called him in. Of course we were yote hunting so I did not have my bow. I have seen vids on youtube using a fawn in distress call and it seems to work. So can you call mule deer? What calls should you use? Thanks

I have tried with mule deers no luck thus far. but will continue to try. primos grunt for mule deer call has failed so far.

fawn distress and watch a mother doe come running in to kick ass

Short answer: Yes! I took a little buck during M7 four years ago calling. Took him at 156 yrds.

Rattled in a very nice D16 buck 2.5 years ago. It works. It is all about timing. This buck came in full steam! A Dandy of a SD buck!
