Thanks! I was using my 30 yr old Browning A-Bolt my Dad gave me when I graduated High School, 3x9x40 Leupold and 168 TTSX, she never took a step, just tumbled about a hundred yards.

I hate shelf roads, not a fan of heights at all. 10 ply tires are your friend. It’s crazy to think they used to take stagecoaches over it.

Been out antelope hunting, over the years I’ve seen several B&C type bucks here and a Buddy shot one in this unit a few years ago. It took me 10 points to pull this tag, saw about 50 today with 8 bucks total. I had a real nice buck at about 150 yds but passed him because I saw a bigger buck earlier that I could never get closer than a mile to, I hope I don’t regret passing him up.
This country isn’t what you think of when you think antelope hunting, no sage brush, it’s all 9,000+ ft up and there plenty of aspen and timber. Of course I see a bunch of turkeys in the last day of the season and no turkey tag in my pocket.
I’ve got to work tomorrow but hopefully I can get back up there Tuesday/Wednesday and then next weekend for the last weekend. Good pictures of the lopes were rough to get, most were at least a mile out and it was really warm so the mirage was as terrible.

Well I struck out on antelope, I only had 1 good day to hunt before I got the sinus infection from hell and I passed a nice buck that I should’ve popped. 15 minutes before sunset on the last evening of the hunt I got a crack at a decent buck at 235 yards but I shot under, I could not get my crosshairs steady as I was winded from climbing the hill and coughing. 10 years it took to get that tag and I did the best I could.
