My pops and I went out to Colorado in October for the 2nd mule deer season. Had a blast and shot my first mule deer. Not a monster but I was really happy with him. It was my dads first time ever seeing snow and being in weather colder than 50degrees IMG_3883.jpegIMG_3889.jpeg

That is a great buck! Congrats to both of you. Tell us more. Rifle, caliber, bullet distance etc.

I was posted up on a knoll at sun rise and it was 15 degrees freezing my a$$ off. I glassed up a few does as the sun came out and I know it was gonna happen once the sun started hitting the hills. At about 730 I seen a group of 6 does a spur and a forky. Then all of a sudden on a little ridge between that group and I this guy was just standing there looking at the other group. He was at 360 yards with no way to sneak in because it was all open between us I decided to take the shot. I set up and let her fly. I hit him high but thankfully I spined him. He dropped I. His tracks. That’s the longest shot I ever made on an animal. Super happy

Rifle- Bergara HMR 300prc
Bullet- Hornady precision hunter
Distance -360 yard.
