@JLerch, if you can get your hands on the old AAA maps, these are classics and how we plan trips. Kind of old school, but by far the quickest and easiest way we've found for planning.

There are a few camp grounds in wrightwood table mountain, lake, blue ridge, guffy, Apple tree take your pick

Blue ridge is one of my personal favorites. Guffy is secluded, but the wind gets to ripping through there
