Was out several times this season in august and early September with not much to report. Will be heading out Thursday AM, and cant wait. Then will be out hunting for 4 days mid week the following week. Hopefully the weather cooperates and cools down a bit. Anyone else having any luck in D19? All of my usual spots haven't paid off so im going to change it up a bit. Ive always hunted high but I havent seen anything thing this year, so im going low on Thursday to see what happens.

D19 has a lot of hunters not to many deer but there out there LMT44 i have hunted the zone for 5 years now and just gotten a buck my last 2 years. I will tell u that what helped me find them is go in deep in the canyons since they get pushed down when the season starts.

what iupa1 say's make sense. High pressured area the deer get pushed in the nasties high thick stuff, and ussally go nocturnal. Days like this more scanning with Binos helps. Look for bedding areas but Don,t walk in them. Just a suggesting from an other brother. And what Steve said is very good suggestion. As of late the few chances I had areas with water were beat up with tracks.

Thanks guys, I had my cams up in my normal areas and nothing. A few yotes and that was it. Both places were well off the beaten path. Ive got a few ideas about some canyons to scout, hopefully hunting pressure pushes them down lower. Ive had success in the past but it was several years ago, havent hunted this zone since 2012. Ill post if i see anything tomorrow.
