Davis Rd whats the scoop??

Went down Saturday to set up the trailer and camp for the duck season, took an hour or so to look around Wister and another road closed sign and now the bridge at Scaup is out along with Noffsinger which has been out for a few years also one on ENGLISH RD these are county roads a from the looks of the Scaup rd bridge all the heavy equipment going over the bridge tore it up. I can't believe there is no money avalible to do the work on a county rd and with the Lithium push why do they just sit unusable for years??

I was told a flood took out the bridge at Davis and Scaup. The county is pointing fingers at IID for plugging the culvert and causing the damage to the bridge. Did you call the Imperial County Public Works Department Road Division phone number posted at the check station to complain about the bridge being out?

I called the number provided and they were of no help. They stated the bridge on scaup needs to go through their county supervisors meeting and it is not even on the agenda. I also asked about the one on English which has been out for years and they did not even have it on their system. I am going to call again when I get the bridges name or id

Can you post the number here?
When do they plan to add it to the agenda?

While they are at it, they can add the other 2 bridges and make one project out of all 3 of them.

The bridge at Noffsinger and Davis washed out in 2019 and the bridge on English was out before that.

I just found the ICDPW number posted at the check station. It is the same one in the link in my previous post : 442-265-1818
If we want these bridges to get fixed, everyone needs to routinely (monthly) call and email until the job is done.
If we keep losing bridges and they go un repaired, areas will become isolated and unhuntable.

IMO nothing will be done until the lithium companies need the access then they will fund it. County is off the hook. I scanned an impact study on the department of works and it looks like the are proposing a 2 lane road using Beach to Davis all the way to Hazard. My bet is that will become a private road

Thanks for the intel I will make a call just to say I tried. Pretty sure that can will be kicked down the road another 10 years.

If we keep the pressure on until the job gets done, people generally take the least path of resistance.
