Day trip question

Hey guys,
So first just trying to get an idea not trying to get anyone’s spots but everyone has always been super helpful on here so here it goes. My family takes a yearly trip to dumont dunes and I have never been a fan of the sand so I decided to do some research and look for a spot to go for a hunt during the day I saw that Mojave is a short drive my question is if anyone could help me out by giving me some tips and maybe a starting point again not trying to burn anyone’s spot any help would definitely be appreciated. Thank you!!!!

Assuming for quail in the Mojave National Preserve?
I've been out there a few times with my son.. it can be done without a dog. I like broad dried out river beds with large shrubs in em.. I've seen quail all over out there. There's also some water guzzlers sprinkled all over, some googling might find you a map of where they're located.. I'll PM you... Lord knows enough people have helped me out with advice on this site..
