Me again with another rookie question does anyone use those spinning rabbit decoys, or prefer just a e=caller or some sort of natural decoy like an old bird wing or something ?
I'm hunting with bow should I set up in open area or chose a place with more cover ?

I'm no expert. The decoys are good as long as they have the ability to grab attention. There are a few bunnies on the market that "quiver" or just move slightly. These would need to be used in a more open area as they may not move enough to grab attention. Now the FoxPro decoys and a few of the other spinners that have white or multi colored tails are attention grabbers for sure. I've had crows come in from pretty far away into edge coverings and attack my decoy. You're going to have to play your areas by ear. Some spots may require you to be in the open middle of the field and some may be better to work the edges. There's no set way that works every time. Try to set your decoy in an area a rabbit would be feeding. Again, no expert here... just a boat load of opinion.

I have a mode Joe that I recovered and gray fox skin. I know they work personally it doesn't help me much. Josh is a full-size coyote and had success with it

I use the Foxjack decoy that attaches to my Foxpro fury. I've noticed that I can get predators to come in close on a more frequent basis then when I wasn't using a motion decoy. I also use the Flambeau lone howler full body coyote decoy. The lone howler is big and bulky so I typically only use it on stands that I don't have to walk more than a few hundred yards to get to. Contrary to popular belief the full body coyote decoy actually works year around not just during the mating/denning season.

decoy for sure... pretty close to the caller within a few feet... I've had yote pass right by me zoned in on the decoy... now to kill a yote with a bow, I'm also working on that right now, just got a bow a few months ago and want to get it bloody before deer season comes around..

I like the twirly thing. Use the mojo. I will even care if they don't come in to the decoy. It's moving and not threatening they see it for sure so at least it's taking their eyes off of you. When you potentially could be moving

Bowhunting for yotes? Decoy for sure. Thick cover for sure. You'll need that cover so you can draw your bow. Put the caller in thick cover so they can't get to it to easy. That will make them pause just long enough for your bow shot.
