I was scouting for deer and checking a tank when I saw this dog getting a drink. I went back to the truck grabbed my22-250 and when I got back the dog was walking my way on the brush filled dam(300 yds or so) we saw each other at the same time from about 100 yds,one offhand shot and done dawg

no bucks..saw 8 does come to a waterhole at 11am and feed in the grass around the tank for an hour... saw 2 sets of big fresh tracks.its still a bit early for the desert rut..it really kicks into gear around Jan 1...going back down after x-mas
