TaftHunter

I hunt a lot
This is my first buck from 2010 when I was 14. It's been sitting in the freezer since, we hadn't figured out what we wanted to do yet. So we decided on this, turned out pretty well I think :)

Nice job Taft. What method did you use to clean it up?

Well my dad cut all the stuff off then he boiled it in a pot for a couple hours then he just scrapped the rest of it off. This was his first time but he loves te way it looks so he's gonna do his next decent sized buck like it :)

Mine from this year need to bleach it still

Here is mine from last year. Simmered 30-45 min. Couple hours of picking junk off of it. Soaking for days in Dawn dish soap to degrease. The boiling is easy but parts of the skull became brittle. Sealed with elmers glue according to a taxi on another site then a light coat of flat white. Not a professional job by any means but it works for me. Next time I'd like to feed someone's beetles and see how that works...

Not sure yet. The measurer still has him. He was hunting in AZ last week. Supposed to get it back sometime this week. I'll post up the score once I get them back.

I have a few myself...not to mention a few cobwebs (my bad)
