Well I’m headed to Minnesota next week to take a crack at hunting whitetail from a tree stand. Not sure how I’ll do sitting in 12-25 degree weather not able to move but I personally want to try all different types and styles of hunting to narrow down what I really want to sink my teeth in to... one things for sure I can leave my Kuiu Tiburons and big glass in the garage

Good luck but......

Fuck that!
I cut my teeth on hunting WT from a tree stand from MI to GA to the Mississippi Delta.

It was only enjoyable when my extremities went numb so I wasn't shivering anymore

Tree stand hunting is a walk in the park as long as you have a good spot and can stay warm

Good luck! I started my hunting journey sitting in a tree stand hunting whitetail 6 years ago with my father in law. Even though I grew up in San Diego, I have a true obsession hunting whitetail from a tree. Just shot this doe a couple days ago In Arkansas. 32 degrees. Bring hand warmers!

I don’t know what the rut timing is in Minnesota, but it is definitely happening right now here in Arkansas. I made some huge mistakes this week and blew a handful of opportunities at some big bucks. It was really cool seeing them chasing does though. If I had a rifle, I could’ve tagged some toads.2678A6C9-0A94-4FCB-95B9-5E9350F4D5BC.jpeg55EF5399-7B2D-4CF7-B567-9C44C8E862AB.jpeg

Thanks!! I’m hunting on a family friends private that he has been hunting for a couple decades... I also have the added benefit of rifle hunting so I’m hoping I can put it all together!

That’s awesome. You’ll have a blast. My father in law always tells me to get up in the tree way before greylight. For example, this week sunrise was 7:30, he’d suggest getting up there around 5 am.
