I picked up some game calls the other day. Just wondering what type of calls some of you guys on here use. Does anyone use any deer calls? I picked up a primos power buck & doe grunt and bleat call. Hope to try it out on my next time out.

I have a specific deer call but it only works on doe, not useful for me over in my zone. But its fun calling them to 5 yards.

As for my go to caller , I have the fox pro e-caller for the yotes … the older version but works well.

Rope one of those fawns. You will learn 2 things.
1- what fawn in distress really sounds like.
2- just how mean a doe can be.

I have the exact grunt caller. But no luck. I just purchased a new promos fawn distress call.
Let you know how it works.
Like said the rabbit distress call
I was trying to call coyotes barking
And instead called in a doe.
She came running full speed and knew exactly were I was. But couldn't see me. Caught me by
Total supprize. I did two more times. Would work great for A22 or G13. I went looking for it
And found it. It had been damaged so I set it a side.
It's called flexton.
I have also a bleat call was given to me
But never had luck with it.
Lohman gold series.
It's adjustable with an o ring over
The reed.

Back in the 70's, my buddy Ted and I were hunting deer between Lake Hodges and Rancho Santa Fe.....A friend of ours was farming berries near a canyon and he said he would see deer there all the time.....One evening we got above the canyon, but couldn't see anything because of the brush.....I broke out my Weem's varmint call (cottontail)….After a couple of screams on it.....3 does and a buck stood up right below us.....We bagged that buck.

Haha that's a killer story Steve! and thanks guys, its cool to hear that they react to different types of calls. Looking forward trying out these calls!! hope I dont rile up and crazed does out there. Lol But I liked the deer call because it had the adjustable o-ring and was both exhale and inhale. I'll report back later on after I give'm a try.

This one is interesting althoug my only gripe would be when i did my sierra bear hunt the slider on it got stuff due to water and moister getting in. it was snowing. i will try to keep it covered next time. but this call works. ive had coyotes get just out of bow range and deer come to the fawn distress. have tried any grunts. going out this weekend and will try some doe bleeps.

so easy a baby can use it. cant wait to get her out blasting this call

Check this video, very cool.
Who says you can't call mule deer.

That’s the one that I have. It’s cheap and my first Socal buck stopped when I bumped him out his bed at 100pm gave me enough time to put one in the boiler room.

I like it when they test their product on the field and it works. Good stuff.
Could of used it to stop that forky the other day. Or call the does I seen.
Very sure buck was with them.

I have not tried calling them in but it does make the Camp Pendleton deer stop most of the time I had two does that I kicked up last year that just kept going and ignored the call.

That was a killer video Lee! I cant wait to go out and see what I can stir up. Just cant wait to get out there again period.
Good luck brother. Hunt hard.
If my legs worked I would be up high.
Look for punch bowls. Where basically
The wind is blocked or going over.
They hunker down.. since the wind
Is east to west look on the west side
Of hills.
