That's a lot of batteries......I figure the game cam will be stolen in the woods so I'm cheap!
Ive always been the purist.....don't use a game cam for hunting use your skills to read the sign the animals left behind or you'll loose it.........damn Indians......But the photographer in me wants to see what hits the gut pilé at night......and I'm just lucky enough to find Bigfoot.....LOL
Added two Browning Strike Forces to my trail cam fleet last year. Best ones I have used for the money so far. Might be overkill for the trump sign, but when re-purposed for hunting afterwards it'll be perfect
Amazon Warehouse Deals. Someone, somewhere is always returning a game camera because their wife saw the order and made them send it back. So why not grab one at 30% off (if something is wrong then Amazon's return policy is very good anyway).
I got my Stealthcam STC-G30 (8MP) for around $60 that way. But I use it as a security camera instead of a game camera...because my wife said that I had to
Lost two brand new Wildgame Innovations blade cameras ($50 on sale at Midway) I couldn't afford to drop a bunch on more cameras. However on ilovesprig's tip that Walmart has some great close outs on occasion, I found these Bushnell cameras for $25 but you have to go in the store. https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=119533cw&typeahead=119533cw&cat_id=0
I got a lot of false triggers on one during a particularly windy day. But other than that I've been happy. I'd rather have more cheap cameras than fewer awesome ones. I figure it's better to have more eyes out. I now own 6 of them. Here's a few pictures (the good and bad).
