George Floyd

First degree murder there must be both premeditation and intent. It’s pretty doubtful it was premeditated, so doubt they’ll convict of first degree.
Second degree murder no premeditation but there has to be intent. Although a case may be made it is doubtful they will be able to prove intent.
Minnesota is one of the few states with third degree murder. I’ll quote part of the statute, The unintentional killing of another through an eminently dangerous act committed with a depraved mind and without regard for human life. They could find the officer guilty of third degree murder since the knee on the neck may be a dangerous act without regard for human life.
Then you have manslaughter , involuntary and voluntary. I think if convicted manslaughter may be to most likely. Also the least penalty. But there is a lot of information we are not privy too so a not guilty verdict is possible.
In any event even if found not guilty the officers life is in ruins. His wife already left him. He will never work as a leo again. He may or may not get a pension. I think because he was fired he probably won’t get a pension. And finding another job doing anything else will be problematic.
If he goes to prison being a former cop his life will be hell if he even survives . So no matter what happens his life is screwed.
Lastly if they convict of manslaughter or find him not guilty , the whole country will explode in riots, arson and mayhem.

You are spot on , this incident will come up again and again. If the officer/officers are over charged and found not guilty ( Rodney King) the country goes back into chaos mode , the media has already made Mr. Floyd the poster person for police brutality so theres no backing out of this. And if the the officers are under charged and this includes any charge short of 1st degree murder again the country goes back into chaos mode , I see the feds heavily involved in this , civil rights violation etc... . And you can bet the powers that be are pushing heavy to get this rolling before November , the more civil unrest we have in this country the better for the Democratic party . Very sad that politics have gotten this out of control and the sheeple keep marching to the tune.
