Georgia Whitetail Adventure

Ended the day with a forky (4 point) feeding 15 yards in front of the stand. Had some doe's work thru earlier. Slow day. Rut has been delayed due to the unseasonably warm weather. Tomorrow is the final hunt of the 6 days on the ground. So far we have seen quite a few deer in several different stands. Unfortunately, Mr. Big and his buddy have not shown up. They are still around as we have seen them on the cameras just a few days ago.

Maybe tomorrow morning...

I am home now. And the hunt was an amazing experience. The hot weather was the nemesis of the hunt. The rut stalled and the night before we left kicked off. The cameras were busier than they have been all year. We had several target bucks that just never left there nocturnal habits until we departed. I am hoping my buddies brother is able to anchor one of the bigger bucks. Like the saying goes: "you can't shoot big bucks if you shoot small bucks". I feel good about the decision to stay the course and wait on the animals we had been watching for months.
