Guzzler repair

Anyone have advice on how to repair these? Ive ran into 3 where i'd be willing to do the work but just not sure where to start on the water supply. On at least a couple, water is not far under the surface. Finding plenty of sand point well stuff online but that mostly applies to homeowners. If anyone has advice on how they would start, let me know.

If they're on public lands (BLM or CNF)...We would probably need an OK from that agency...Which is verry possible.....

This could be a great project for our NWTF San Diego Chapter...We actually have a work party Saturday to repair and clean a drinker we put in a few years back.......

Worked on a natural seep today...Within 2 hours, quail were on it...........................

The ones I found are in SBNF. There are groups doing the ones to the east for the sheep but nobody i know of up top. I'll reach out to the agency to see if they have any groups to connect with and process for permissions. Like I said, im willing to do the work, just need to learn more about the sand point process.

Design ideas would be ideal. I would like to catch rain water. For the wildlife.
Hot desert is brutal on the wild life

Yesterday, NWTF volunteers worked on a drinker we put in a few years back...A couple of minor repairs and some digging...Still pretty full of water...............
