So this year has been tough and that’s exactly how the fishing was today . I’m ready to get on with next year . Only managed 2 fish until 1245 then the 1 o’clock bite kicked in and the fish were celebrating !! I was throwing them cocktails and they were on it !!! Got fish #3,4,5 in that 15 minute span . Not bad but like I say tough was there 7 hours . Had a great day though fellow SCH brother Calndn was there and we fished together for a little. That’s always a great way to end the year . Man I love this little lake my kinda people there lots of conservative observations , in the lodge they kept talking about some kinda 4 year war !! Lol

Happy New Year mother.... Cocktails are flowing over here in Beaumont. Have a good one man. By the way those are badass trout, I really like them lightning trout. Hopefully you are doing it right way 2 lb test on a 9-foot ultralight rod throwing mini jigs. Oh wait nevermind I seen you were using powerbait.... still hell of a day. Best of luck to you and 2021

Well 4 lb test and 7 foot ultralight so close . 9 ft sounds good but bulky the 7 footers are cumbersome . Happy New Years to you to

Great job Dave wasn't my day lost 2 landed 2 it was Tads and your day to get them limits. 2 nice trout is enough for 2 good meals for me and the wifey so no complaints. Oh shit and I got gifted a a Fenwick HMG now that I think about it it was a fricken awsoms day, BTW that thing has a perfect tip for trolling the plugs with I love it thanks.

Thanks. I sear the first side in butter and a tad olive oil and add half a elephant garlic some green onions&chives and onions then turn over and add white cooking wine and the juice of a lemon and, slide the onions under it then turn it up cook the wine out and it comes out killer. Serve over a bed of rice and add some soy sauce over it mmm mmm good.
