Well, Phil and I decided to try "The Shaw" one more time...It was reall tough launching the boat, but we finally got it in (there was only one other small tin boat)...With the lake going down so fast. there's just not a lot of structure to fish...We headed for the damn area and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of bait fish in the water...We started catching them right off the bat...I was throwing an under spin and Phil was throwing a skinny Senko...This along with creature baits and cranks were the ticket...33 fish that we touched and 1 cat...Really good considering the conditions...
So, I read an article that sound you need to keep a certain amount of fish per acre feet of water...With the lake being DRAINED to minimum pool, we decided to keep a couple...For the 2nd time in a row that I have kept a fish, it was full of plastic...This time was a small swim bait, creature bait, and 5" Senko......
ps...The lake right now is at 3800 acre feet...It will be at 2500 in a couple of weeks...What a travesty to a great fishery!.......................
