Any of you guys own any hi-point guns? I've decided to purchase one of their carbines in .40 S&W and I'm kicking around the idea of buying a pistol in the same caliber as well. The mags are interchangeable between the carbine and the pistols, and I can get both guns for less than $500. Everything I've read on the internet is that their guns are ugly but super shooters. Very few people have had any mechanical issues and the company has a lifetime warranty on their guns, even if it transfers owners.

So just curious if anyone had a hi-point.

Hi-Points are pretty good. They get a lot of crap for being cheap guns but I like mine. Never had a problem with it and I can hit what I'm aiming at with it. Main reason I got it was because it was a .45 and I could get it for $110.

My main complaint with the gun is that it is MASSIVE and feels like it weighs a lot for a pistol. The slide is esp heavy. But it fits my hands well and like I said I can hit what I'm aiming at with it. It sure ain't a show gun but they make fine truck/boat guns incase you don't wanna take that $500-600 pistol out on the hunting trip with you and risk dropping it in a lake or something.
