If I kill a deer this year, I plan on getting the hide tanned if the coat is nice. Has anyone done this themselves and if so, what method/ process do you use. If not, anyone have any tanneries they would recommend?
It is not worth messing around with. Just sent it out to a tannery that will accept public ( non taxidermist) hides. Wildlife Gallery is a good example.
