Not wanting to spend a ton of cash on a e call I decided to build my own. 250watt pile amp, 8" 65watt pile horn, 12v lead acid battery, rf remote for the iphone and mp3s off the net. It works good ill do some field tests later this week. Plays loud and clean even at high volume. its a bit rough as first prototypes are prone to be. v2.o will correct that

Nice work Bro...I figured you had the remotes set up. But what kind of distance can you get from it?
 
Its the ijet remote and they claim 150' tested tonight and was easy out to 200' +. I am going to mod the remote to make it work even better.
 
Nicely done, a bit too techno for me though.

The only e-caller I've owned was a cassette tape and a car stereo mounted on a battery box on an old pack frame, I was on to something 25 years ago and didn't know it.

Curious to how it works for ya.
