I've been out of the loop awhile any reasonable waterfowl taxidermy around its getting costly from what I've seen on line

I used Paul for a pheasant and dropped off two ducks. He only does birds and did a good job on my pheasant. $350 per bird I believe.

One of the best in SoCal is Living Design in Costa Mesa...It's been a long time, but I'm guessing that big honkers are somewhere north of 7 fiddy........
