How to apply for tags and where.

I’m a new hunter. I want to bow hunt this coming 2020 season I live in mission viejo( south Oc). I just have some questions about how to apply for tags and where I can apply. I want to hunt somewhere nearby where success is higher than 5 ( I live 10 mins from D15) but I’m willing to drive up to LA and hunt up there. Any information would be awesome thank you.

Get away from the OC/LA areas. Try to get at least an hour to hour and a half away from the large citys. Draws will come up in June, online at the dfg website. There are currently some turkey draws you can enter for Northern Ca. The turkey tune up coming up on the 22nd will have a drawing for some turkey hunts in SD.

To purchase a tag online it says I have to be 18 and I am currently 17. Where can I go to purchase one physically?

Tags and applications for the big game drawing may be purchased through the Online License Service, at any CDFW License Sales Office or License Agent, or by telephone at (800) 565-1458. Allow 15 days for delivery of tags purchased online or by telephone.
