Random does simmering work better than hard boil to keep the teeth intact?

Yes they may still crack but not as badly. It also is easier on the bone. Most problems I see are too much heat and too much chemical being used both of which can ruin the bone and cause the skull to be flaky. If the teeth crack fill them in with super glue. If they crack badly fill it in with super glue and then use a medium body CA glue as a gap filler (super glue gel works good for this). You can also use bone dust to better match the teeth color.
