+1 for WY. It is similar to MT but a lot less "crowded". Plus if you are resident you can hunt areas that non-res can't without a guide.

Second would be alaska. If Fishing was added to list, then Alaska would win.

I 100 % agree would never consider setting foot in that state much less think about living there when I retire. The weather there is horrible and the politics suck...
