I am in the market for my first bow. I tried a bunch and and a PSE Drive 3B felt pretty good and it was in my price range.

But then I found this: A Bowtech Carbon Night (I believe they came out in 2014) for $300 no release included. The bow apparently it does not need anything, but I am yet to look at it. It most certainty would have to get tuned up for me.

Is it worth taking the risk? I mean we are talking $300 + Service of tune up ($50)+Release Vs a New PSE bow package $700 before taxes with no case no arrows no release.

If it is not the perfect Bow for me I would be ok upgrading in 2, 3 seasons. But if it is a waste of money I would be bummed.

I called Bowtech to just ask some questions but no answer, and will the Archery shop I know sells Bowthech is closed today.

Google bowtech for sale if it includes everything it sounds like good buy.
But let the buyer beware.
Ask the guy the condition of the string. And if it was ever dry fired.
Ask if you can shoot it first at any local archery range.
Is the draw length and weight
Set to your needs?

I have not being able to find the original price, but I found a couple in Ebay from $475 to $675 plus shipping. No arrows, or case.
The Draw and weight seems to be adjustable to my needs.
I was thinking to meet the seller at the Archery shop, shoot it there, and have it inspected. I think that is the way to go. If the seller has a problem with that it might be a sign.

There's a couple of things I don't feel comfortable buying used....Bows are one of them....That said, that seller could meet you at Willow Creek Archery in Escondido...Have Brett (owner) check it out, tune, and then shoot it, if it's lines up for you.

The price seems to be pretty good....Accessories could cost you the $300.00 on a new bow.
