Just over the hill from me, not surprised, My cameras show them often. Sad that fish and wildlife are not allowed to manage them bad for all species.

No surprise that, at one of my favorite deer spots, the deer have taken off and I've seen a lion in each of the last couple seasons.

Can you get a depredation permit?
I am sure there is a lot of skilled people in this forum that can help with that...

You cannot get a depredation permit for a lion killing deer. That is what lions do. Highly recommend doing nothing unless you want to go to jail, pay huge fines, lose your weapon, and lose your hunting license in 48 states.

because I read “ranch” I thought also it was going after ranch animals...

If it is killing livestock DFW will come out and trap the animal...they do not relocate. It is dispatched on the spot.
