JICARILLA HUNT VOUCHER

Last year cow Elk hunt on the reservation was cancelled due to covid. As I had already sent in money for application fee, $50 per hunter, I was sent three vouchers. The third hunter will not be able to go this year due too health issues, so if anybody would like to buy spare voucher for face value of $50 Have one. I have letter from reservation fish and game dept. stating voucher is transferable to assure anyone who may be interested. I also have spare spare hunt application form. draw is mid. June, If successful hunt fee is $750 plus guide fee. List of guides is listed on reservation web page, as is the hunting proclamation/rules. I live in Lakewood, Cal.

Some guides $300 flat fee, others $300 a day. Its a three day hunt. but at $300 a day u only pay for actual days hunted. if u get your cow on first day it's $300 either way.

i know this is late to this post but i was just looking into an elk hunt here and what i found was like 5000 for a guide. this was on the reservations web page 300 a day ain’t bad but i dont want to pay 5 grand. did i just find the wrong web page or what?

If u want a bull, that's right. Guides set their own price, some will give a set price while others charge by the day. Cows are $750.

Look at the bright side. If you were to want a trophy mule deer it could run upwards of $30K. One of the guides I used, guided for MLB players who had no problem paying that kind of money, plus they tripped real good, so the guide said. If I saw 100 Elk on a three day hunt I saw 200 Mule deer. And they just stand on the side of the road and look at you, Two times we had to wait for them to walk across the road before we could move on. where the Elk run when they see you.
