

The first test batch will be 140 grain JLK's (.630 BC). The starting load will be .040" of the lands or 2.210" OAL (taken of the ogive). Starting with 60 grains of H1000 and increasing the charge by .3 grains until 61.2 grains is achieved. The primers used are Federal 215M and the neck tension is a consistent .002" across all loaded rounds.
What I found amazing was when I weighed the JLK's. Unlike Berger and Hornady, the JLK's had a max deviation of .005 grains over 15 bullets. Most of them weighed exactly 140 grains.
I will be loading the Berger VLD's next and then the Nosler Accubonds.
