The last one was a 1:8.7 and it works great with the 180 Bergers. Hoping to get some copper up to 3100ishNice. What was the twist on the first build ? I remember it shot well.
You are very right it’s time to leave the range and go kill.Dude...please post COPIOUS amounts of Dead Large Mammal pics with featured build!!! Thats alot of work ...money... and time for paper...NICE!!
I will just ran out of the 143’sDid you stretch the 73 out ?
unless there is a huge velo difference and I mean HUGE. That 70 is looking pretty good!Ok time to pick this back up had a little hitch in that I mixed H4350 and Retumbo. Ooops. Anyways I was able to find a fresh jug of Retumbo and I’m back on the hunt. I went back out two weeks ago and it was cold at the range that morning like mid low 40’s. Results were surprising the 70 grain load that did well when it was warmer also did well in the cold. However the 73 grain load did not. So looks like it’s gonna be a 70 grain load but I’ll still try some more 73 grain charges just to confirm. View attachment 64309View attachment 64310
Yes I tried everything in between in .5 grain increments. Weird thing that after the first round of trying 70 I had loaded up some more and they didn't print well at 600yards. Shortly after I realized I had mixed the powders the 70 gr load was getting bizarre 50fps swings and wasn't very consistent. That's when I poured out a bunch of the Retumbo and I noticed some of the kernels had a green tint and others did not. So had to dump the Retumbo.Did you jump from 70 to 73,
Nothing in between ?
